I am taking a masters class in evangelism and missions. There was one particular topic that has really brought up a lot of discussion and I thought I would share it with you.
Are the stances that we hold up in church based on biblical reference or just tradition? Before you answer this, really sit down and think about the things that are important to you or to people that you know. When you think about this, you really need to take into mind all the different types of worship services and denominations. There are ton of differences. You have the unfortunate battle between contemporary and traditional worship services. You might even think about baptism, but what about simply Sunday School. This is definitely a question to think about when someone starts to argue about something being wrong or right. I think we should rejoice in the fact that God gives us the freedom to worship in different ways that are comforting to each individual. Lets keep the bible strong and quit focusing so much on the preferences. I would love to hear your comments.
